The Earthquake victims

The devastating earthquake of 25 April 2015 brought so much destruction in the lives of people and in cultural heritage. More than 8000 people died and hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless across many districts of the country. The badly effected areas by the massive hit are Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Sindhupalchock, Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot and Rasuwa. The deadly earthquake also destroyed our world heritage sites like Dharahara, Basantapur Durbar Square and Patan palace.

To bring smile and hope in the life of people, Sapana Village cooperated with various internal and external organizations like FEMI Foundation, Open-Eyes, Sonmar Namaste etc to reach and distribute relief to the victims. We were able to provide immediate and emergency relief materials like rice, salt, lentil, dry food, cooking oil and tarpaulins. Sapana Village is also working on the maintenance of school buildings badly destroyed by hits in Siddi and Shaktikhor V.D.C. of Chitwan district.
